Penalty points for drivers to be introduced from June 1
The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan has approved a resolution introducing a penalty point system for drivers from June 1, 2025, Kursiv.uz reported. The document was published on Lex.uz.

Under the new system, drivers will receive points for traffic violations as follows:

• Driving without license plates — 1 point
• Modifying the sound signal — 0.2 points
• Speeding — from 0.5 to 2 points
• Dangerous driving — 1.5 points
• Improper overtaking — 1 point

If a driver accumulates 12 or more points within one year, an administrative protocol will be issued. If no violations are committed within six months, 2 points will be deducted.

Penalty point data can be checked via the E-jarimaball mobile app, official website, and government services portal. Drivers will receive SMS alerts for each point issued.
