First images of the new Ford Mondeo revealed
Ford is currently testing the updated Mondeo sedan, Auto.Mail.ru reported. Once popular in both Europe and the US (under the Fusion name), the model lost ground due to the SUV boom. The last European Mondeo rolled off the line in Spain in 2022.

However, Mondeo lives on — in 2022, the fifth generation was launched in China. Now Ford is testing a refreshed version, which was recently spotted in spy shots.

Major changes focus on the front end. The previous “double-decker” headlight design was unpopular with buyers. The updated Mondeo will feature standard block headlights with LED daytime running lights arranged in a checkered pattern.

Rear lights and both bumpers will also get slight redesigns. Retractable door handles remain unchanged. Inside, not much will change — the standout feature is still a wide 27-inch screen.

Technically, the Mondeo remains conservative with 1.5L and 2.0L EcoBoost petrol engines, and hybrid variants available. The official premiere is expected by the end of 2025.
