Warplane Flies Again

Warplane Flies Again
The Commemorative Air Force in the United States has preserved two Boeing B-29 Superfortress aircraft, the only ones in the world still capable of flying. These bombers are now showcased at airshows and exhibitions.

The B-29 was one of the most advanced aircraft of its time. It was known for its long range, heavy payload capacity, and pressurized cabin. At the end of World War II, it played a decisive role in delivering atomic bombs to Japan.

Today, the plane is piloted by Randall Haskin, an experienced aviator. He is assisted by an engineer during flights, as controlling the engines is complex. Haskin’s father had also served as a B-29 flight engineer during the war years.

Haskin continues to fly the aircraft known as “Fifi,” reminding people of history. His mission is to show future generations that this plane is not just technology, but also a symbol of historical memory.
