American pop star and actress Ariana Grande has reassured fans that she has no intention of quitting music, despite increasing her presence in the film industry. She made the announcement through her social media channels.
In 2024, Ariana released her latest album, Eternal Sunshine, but hasn't performed it live yet. Her last tour, Sweetener World Tour, was in 2019. However, she recently hinted at a comeback:
"I'm working on a plan to sing for you all next year. Even if it's just for a little," she wrote.
After starring in Wicked alongside Cynthia Erivo, Ariana has now been cast in the film adaptation of Dr. Seuss’s book Oh, The Places You'll Go!
Still, she made it clear that her music career is far from over.
“Singing and music have always been my lifeline. There needs to be room for everything,” she said.
According to Ariana, her growing commitments may make her music career look different, but she welcomes the change:
“I feel grateful, excited and inspired. I’m finding balance between all the projects I love and doing it my own way.”
Fans responded with mixed emotions. Superfan Michael Rodrigues De Jesus, 23, said he "internally screamed" when he saw the tour hint. He predicts it might only be a small tour and could leave some fans disappointed.
“I’ve seen a lot of people upset that she’s doing movies,” he says. “I’ve had the same thoughts: Will there be another tour? Is she leaving music?”
Still, he remains hopeful:
“It’s exciting to see an artist you love doing so many things. You get to enjoy their talent in more ways.”
Ariana Grande now successfully balances music, acting, and her beauty brand, building a new chapter in her career on her own terms.
