Singer Surayyo Qosimova, who captured fans' hearts with the song “Arzanda jonim,” spoke openly about a major turning point in her personal life. In an interview with the “Yoshlar” TV channel, she explained why she divorced after 18 years of marriage.
According to the singer, the couple had two children, and she feels happy as a mother. At the same time, she emphasized that she had fulfilled all her duties as a wife with dedication.
— God gave us two sweet children. I tried my best to be a good mother and wife. I didn't shy away from household chores just because I am an artist. We were together through both hardships and prosperity, — the singer says.
Surayyo Qosimova said that the decision to divorce was not easy, but she believed it was the right path for both parties. She noted that she thought a lot about her husband's parents.
— Every parent has a dream of the kind of daughter-in-law they want for their child. Perhaps I wasn't the daughter-in-law they wanted. That is why I told my husband: “You are the moon in the sky for me, but I cannot reach you. My place is on the ground,” — she recalls.
For context, the singer lived with musician Husan Qosimov for 17 years. In previous interviews, she had mentioned thinking about divorce several times, but the relationship continued due to her husband's patience.
