Over the past 44 days, Europe has lost 22 billion euros

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that the European Union has spent an additional 22 billion euros on energy imports over the last 44 days. This sharp increase in costs is attributed to instability in the Middle East, which has placed significant pressure on energy supply chains. Despite the massive expenditure, there has been no substantial increase in the volume of resources delivered. Consequently, this situation has intensified concerns regarding Europe's energy balance and overall security.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that over the past 44 days, EU energy import duties have risen sharply, resulting in an additional cost of more than 22 billion euros.
He emphasized that this situation is directly linked to the unstable situation in the Middle East, which is putting significant pressure on the energy supply chain. As a result, the European market is facing a sharp increase in import costs.
According to von der Leyen, although the European Union spent significant funds during this period, the supply of energy resources did not increase significantly. This further exacerbates the problems of energy balance and security.
