While living and working in Germany, 26-year-old doctor Selma met 22-year-old Muhammad Akmal from Pakistan through the game Roblox.
After five months of communication, Muhammad proposed to her. With the consent of both families, Selma accepted and moved to a small village in the Mandi Bahauddin district of Pakistan to start a new life with her lover.
According to Pakistani law, a girl must be a Muslim to marry a Muslim man.
However, this law did not hinder them. Since Selma was born into a Muslim family, she did not need to re-convert to Islam upon arriving in Pakistan.
Currently, she lives a happy life in the village with her husband, Muhammad Akmal, and is actively learning Urdu and Punjabi to adapt to the local environment.
