ATMs in Russia will be able to operate without internet

A technical solution has been developed in Russia that allows ATMs and payment terminals to operate without mobile internet. This was announced by Central Bank Chairwoman Elvira Nabiullina.
The new system is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted banking services even in cases where mobile internet is limited or disabled. The issue of including banks in a special "whitelist" is currently being discussed.
At the moment, VTB, Alfa-Bank, PSB, MTS Bank, and Gazprombank have been included in this list. The process is being implemented in stages, starting with major banks.
Previously, Moscow residents had complained that ATMs and terminals were failing due to internet outages.
