How much tax does Temu Marketplace have to pay in Uzbekistan?
The Chinese marketplace Temu must pay 46 billion soums in taxes in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Mubin Mirzaev, First Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Committee.

"We have fully analyzed the online trading system. As a result of the analysis, it was found that a large number of e-commerce organizations do not pay taxes. Not only Temu, but also Wildberries did not pay taxes. The question arises, why Temu? We have issued a warning letter to all electronic platforms to fulfill their tax obligations," he said.

At the same time, Mirzaev said that the Russian marketplace Wildberries has already paid 52 billion soums in taxes.

“According to preliminary calculations on Temu, it was determined that 46 billion soums of taxes were not paid. We have filed a letter of objection. When they pay the taxes, we will legalize their activities,” said Mubin Mirzaev.

It was reported that the use of the Temu platform in Uzbekistan will be restricted from March 20, 2025. Later, the Temu marketplace was registered as a legal entity - a resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Paragraph 2 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of December 26, 2024 “On measures for the further development of the e-commerce sector in the Republic of Uzbekistan” states that only legal entities - residents of Uzbekistan can operate as e-commerce operators, in particular, operators of e-commerce platforms.
