USA and Uzbekistan reach mineral cooperation agreement

USA and Uzbekistan reach mineral cooperation agreement
Uzbekistan and the USA have signed new business agreements in various sectors.

A delegation led by the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, visited the United States and held talks with heads of major corporations and industrial associations.

On April 7, meetings were held with companies operating in the mining, hospitality, and food industries. Investment opportunities and favorable business conditions in Uzbekistan were presented to the companies.

Company leaders praised Uzbekistan’s reforms and expressed readiness to expand cooperation, building on the successful experience of American companies operating in the country.

As a result, agreements were reached in areas such as exploration and extraction of minerals, construction of high-pressure grinding roller (HPGR) plants, the introduction of innovative technologies, creation of value chains, and training of Uzbek specialists.

Additionally, implementation timelines were agreed upon for new hotel projects in the tourism sector. A dedicated project manager was assigned to each initiative.

It should be noted that in September 2024, a memorandum on strategic minerals was signed between Uzbekistan and the USA.
