In order to implement the concept of ecological sustainability and energy-efficient housing in Uzbekistan, the French Development Agency (AFD) is expected to provide financial and technical assistance. As part of this cooperation, AFD is planning to allocate a loan of 30 million euros to the Uzbek Mortgage Refinancing Company.
According to official information released by the Ministry of Energy, the project is being developed to increase the energy efficiency of residential buildings in Uzbekistan. It is noted that the project is currently undergoing assessment and preparation processes.
According to the document, it is planned to provide loans on favorable terms to end consumers - the population and private sector entities - through commercial banks through a credit line and technical assistance provided by this French agency. The funds will be directed mainly to housing equipped with energy-saving technologies or planning to introduce such technologies.
As part of the project, a special online survey is also being conducted to study the knowledge and attitudes of citizens on energy saving. This questionnaire was prepared by specialists from French companies - Juru and AETS, and the information collected through it will serve to form the economic and technical basis of the project.
The Ministry of Energy is confident that this initiative will not only reduce the population's electricity costs, but also improve the overall environmental environment.
In general, this strategic partnership with AFD is considered an important step in the transition to a sustainable housing policy and a green economy in Uzbekistan. The implementation of this project will not only allow our compatriots to reduce their energy costs, but it is also expected to further increase environmental culture in the country.
