The Central Bank has announced new exchange rates
The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has announced the official exchange rate for May 12, 2025. According to the new rates, significant changes are observed in foreign currencies.

In particular, the US dollar rate decreased by 29.80 soums, and now one dollar is set at 12,880.35 soums. This means that the dollar has fallen for the first time after stability in recent weeks.

The currency of the European Union - the euro, on the contrary, appreciated by 125.30 soums. That is, 1 euro is now worth 14,535.47 soums. This change indicates that the euro's position in international markets is strengthening.

The British pound sterling also continued its downward trend - it fell by 113.15 soums, equaling 17,099.95 soums. This may be due to the turbulent state of the pound in recent days.

The Russian ruble fell by 3.10 soums to 156.68 soums. Experts believe that this change may be due to economic dynamics in the Russian domestic market.

The Chinese yuan fell by 6.88 soums to 1,779.52 soums. The yuan's decline is explained by some recent uncertainties in the Chinese economy.

The Japanese yen also fell by 1.13 soums to 88.95 soums. This indicates that the currency is experiencing fluctuations against the background of low inflation.

The national currency of neighboring Kazakhstan, the tenge, also depreciated slightly. It fell by 0.14 soums to 24.95 soums.

The official exchange rates announced by the Central Bank every week have a significant impact on foreign trade, investment, and currency transactions between individuals. Therefore, such changes are of great importance for the population and entrepreneurs.
