Thomson Reuters media empire heir Taylor Thomson lost a large sum on the cryptocurrency market. According to Pravilamag, he blames his close friend Ashley Richardson and even “psychics.”
According to reports, in 2021 Thomson invested about $140 million in various cryptocurrencies. It is said that before making the investments, he and Richardson consulted with psychics.
Later, the portfolio management was handed over to Richardson. Lawyers claim she carried out more than 450,000 transactions without Thomson’s consent, although Richardson denies these allegations. There was no official contract signed between them.
According to calculations by Guidepost Solutions, Thomson’s total losses exceeded $80 million, which was also affected by the cryptocurrency market crash of 2022.
After that, the heir filed a lawsuit against Richardson and Persistence. It is reported that Richardson invested $40 million into questionable tokens, and Thomson accused them of collusion and demanded $25 million be returned. However, Thomson and Persistence reached a settlement.
Richardson, in turn, accused her former friend of defamation and filed a counterclaim demanding $10 million. The court proceedings are still ongoing.
