At the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS in Minsk, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the volume of mutual trade between the CIS countries has increased by 18% over the past four years. He noted that this result is the result of the implementation of the CIS economic development strategy.
According to Mishustin, the GDP indicator also shows a growth trend. The next important step will be the entry into force of the free trade agreement in the field of services. This agreement is expected to serve to further strengthen economic ties between the countries.
CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev reported that 14 issues and 25 draft documents are being considered on the Council's agenda. These documents are aimed at further expanding cooperation between the Commonwealth states in various fields.
Thus, it is emphasized that the meeting in Minsk can take the processes of economic integration for the CIS countries to a new level.
