Almost 1 million tons of melons were grown in the fields of Uzbekistan

According to the National Statistics Committee, farms in all areas of agriculture actively participated in the cultivation of melons, and the total harvest approached 1 million tons.

Specifically:

• The largest share belongs to farms, which produced 512.4 thousand tons of melons;
• Dehkan and personal subsidiary farms harvested 389.6 thousand tons of sweet fruits;
• Agricultural organizations have also achieved the production of 51 thousand tons of products.

Melon is in demand not only in the local market, but also as an export-oriented product. Due to its high demand in the domestic market, environmental friendliness, and medicinal properties, the volume of melon cultivation in our country is increasing every year.
