Today, at the plenary session of the Senate, the Law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was discussed and approved.
According to the law, a recycling fee will now be introduced to cover the costs of processing waste generated as a result of using construction glass. This fee is aimed at strengthening responsibility in the field of environmental protection and waste recycling.
At the same time, the document introduces corresponding amendments to the laws "On Environmental Protection" and "On Waste," updating the name and legal status of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The senators noted that the new procedure:
development of the construction glass industry;
protection of citizens' health and the environment from harmful effects;
expansion of the sphere of glass waste processing;
ensuring environmental safety.
Also, within the framework of administrative reforms in the field of official statistics, it is planned to improve the activities of statistical bodies, create more favorable conditions for users of information.
Following the discussion, the law was unanimously approved by the senators.
