According to our monthly analysis based on the exchange rates published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during October 2025, the exchange rate of 1 US dollar against the national currency — the soum — decreased by 42.54 soums.
Weekly dynamics
Throughout the month, the dollar-to-soum exchange rate experienced certain fluctuations. In particular, growth was observed in the first half of the month:
First week: +31.76 soums
Second week: +23.66 soums
Third week: +37.61 soums
This upward trend may have been influenced by movements in international markets, import-export operations, and changes in domestic demand.
In the second half of the month, however, a decline was recorded:
Fourth week: –31.66 soums
Fifth week: –104.11 soums
As a result, the overall monthly change in the US dollar exchange rate was positive for the national currency, ending with a decrease of 42.54 soums.
The Central Bank continues to form exchange rates based on market mechanisms and strives to maintain stability in economic processes. Such exchange rate fluctuations are considered indicators of the global economic environment, foreign trade volume, and the level of domestic economic activity.
