Gold bar prices in Uzbekistan hit a new all-time high

On January 12, the price of a 5-gram gold bar in Uzbekistan reached 9 million soums, setting a record. This was reported by podrobno.uz reports .

According to the Central Bank, 1 gram of gold was valued at 1.8 million soums, while a 10-gram bar cost 18 million soums.

The rise in gold prices is attributed to growth in global markets. In COMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange) trading, one troy ounce of gold is valued at $4.5 thousand.

Recall that in November 2025, Uzbekistan ranked among the world’s three largest gold buyers. At that time, the Central Bank purchased 10 tons of the precious metal within one month.
