In 2025, the Andijan region became the absolute leader in clothing production, which is one of the largest industrial sectors of Uzbekistan. According to the National Statistics Committee, last year large enterprises across the country produced clothing worth 43.1 trillion soums.
This indicator shows an increase of 21.7 percent compared to 2024. The largest share of this industry falls on the Andijan region - products worth 19.7 trillion soums were manufactured here.
The volume of production by region is as follows:
- Andijan region - 19.7 trillion soums
- Namangan region - 3.9 trillion soums
- Tashkent region - 3.6 trillion soums
- Tashkent city - 2.9 trillion soums
- Fergana region - 2.8 trillion soums
- Navoi region - 2.1 trillion soums
- Kashkadarya and Bukhara regions - 1.8 trillion soums each.
- Other regions - less than 1 trillion
As can be seen, the share of Andijan region in this area is about 46 percent of the total indicator for the republic. This indicates the high level of the region's potential in the field of sewing and light industry, as well as its labor and production capacities.
