President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is chairing an expanded meeting on the effectiveness of work on preventing corruption and future priorities.

During the meeting, the head of state noted that revenues have not increased significantly despite the fact that tax authorities have been assigned to each mahalla.

For example, thousands of enterprises indicate that they have no employees in their reports, while thousands more indicate 2 or 1 employee. This is evidence that tax authorities are working poorly with the underground economy.

It is stipulated that honest entrepreneurs will be refunded value added tax within 7 days. However, tax authorities have not considered about 2.5 thousand applications from entrepreneurs worth 487 billion soums in a timely manner.

"From now on, the prosecutor, the interior ministry and the tax authorities will not be involved in the activities of the sectors," the President said.
