
From July 20, 2025, Uzbekistan will introduce rules for the duty-free import of biologically active additives (BAA) by individuals for personal needs. This is stipulated in the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the document, individuals will be able to import food additives without customs duties in the following quantities (until now there were no restrictions):
- in liquid form and in the form of syrup - up to 10 pieces in a bottle;
- in powder form - up to 0.5 kilograms;
- tablets - up to 100 pieces;
- capsules - up to 100 pieces or up to 4 pieces in PET containers;
- in dried form (flowers, stems and roots) - up to 0.5 kilograms.
In addition, the rules for the duty-free import of some goods have also been changed.
In particular, the amount for alcoholic beverages will remain the same - up to 2 liters. For tobacco products, instead of the general limit of 10 packs, the following specific norms will be introduced:
- cigarettes - up to 200 pieces;
- cigars - up to 5 pieces;
- tobacco - up to 100 grams.
Perfumes and eau de parfums are now allowed to be imported in 3 containers of up to 300 ml each (previously, up to 3 containers without specifying the volume).
In addition, a ban on the import of alcohol and tobacco products for persons under 21 years of age, as well as through international postal and courier shipments, is being introduced.
If the duty-free limit is exceeded, the following customs duties are applied to goods imported for non-commercial purposes:
In case of exceeding the duty-free limits for non-commercial imports:
- for alcohol and tobacco products, the single customs duty is doubled (60 percent);
- for perfumes and eau de parfum, the single customs duty is doubled (30 percent). Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
