
According to the official website of the Italian government, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will visit Uzbekistan on April 25–26. Meetings during this high-level visit will take place in the city of Samarkand.
It is noted that this visit is part of Giorgia Meloni's tour of Central Asian countries, aimed at further expanding and strengthening relations between Italy and the countries of the region.
Previously, it was reported that Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni would also visit Kazakhstan on April 26–27 at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
According to the press service of the President of Kazakhstan – Akorda, during the high-level negotiations, the parties will discuss the prospects for further strengthening the strategic partnership and expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Additionally, the head of the Italian government will participate in the first "Central Asia – Italy" summit, which will be held on April 27 in Astana. During this summit, the parties will discuss issues of further development of multilateral relations between Central Asian countries and Italy, as well as the expansion of cooperation in economic sectors, energy, and other areas.
