
In Tashkent, the State Security Service (SGB) intercepted a smuggling operation involving 574,000 infusion systems for IV drips imported from China, reports the SGB press service. A man born in 1992, along with an accomplice and a bank employee, attempted to bring approximately 800 boxes containing 574,000 infusion systems into Uzbekistan. The goods were intended for sale at $55,700 (approximately 700 million Uzbek soums). An examination determined the products were unfit for use.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 186-3, Part 3, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The accused face imprisonment ranging from 7 to 12 years. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
