The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has responded to rumors circulating on social media claiming that "Last Bell" ceremonies have been banned. According to the official statement, these rumors are untrue and based on a misinterpretation.
Clarification on the Date
The ministry clarified that the 2023/2024 academic year will officially conclude on Sunday, May 25. Since this falls on a weekend, the "Last Bell" ceremonies will be held on Saturday, May 24.
"The Last Bell ceremony will be held in an uplifting and festive atmosphere, as it traditionally is each year," the ministry's message stated.
No Restrictions
Some Telegram channels had claimed that restrictions were in place, including a supposed ban on waltzing. This was also addressed.
The ministry's press service told the "Daryo" publication that there is no official document banning the waltz. However, some parents have raised concerns about children preparing dances after school, ordering expensive outfits, and the collection of money for these purposes.
Safety Recommendations
The ministry urges school staff, students, and parents to follow safety rules during the "Last Bell" events.
Zamin.uz editorial emphasizes that end-of-year ceremonies are a memorable milestone for graduates. Ensuring they are conducted in a safe and meaningful way is a shared responsibility. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
