Man detained in Namangan for cultivating 73 cannabis plants
On May 17, in Namangan region, law enforcement officers detained a 59-year-old man who was cultivating 73 cannabis plants in his backyard, reports NOVA24.uz. This violation was uncovered during the "Koradori-2025" operation.

The man resided in the "Sohil" neighborhood of Namangan city and was growing cannabis on his household plot. A criminal case has been initiated against him under Part 1 of Article 270 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Cultivation of prohibited crops). An investigation has commenced, and the man faces up to 3 years of imprisonment.
