
On June 10, Tashkent will be in the spirit of football - the national team of Uzbekistan will take on the Qatar team in an important World Cup qualifying match. As part of the competition, a number of roads in the Chilonzor district of the capital will be temporarily closed to ensure safety and regulate traffic.
According to the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department's Road Traffic Safety Department, from 16:00 on June 10 until the event is completely over, the following main roads will be completely closed to traffic:
Sections to be completely closed:
- Chilonzor-Choponota Street from the intersection of Chilonzor-KHAI to Mukimiy;
- Chilonzor Street from the intersection of Chilonzor-KHAI to Mukimiy;
- Bunyodkor secondary road - from KHAI to Mukimiy.
Roads to be partially closed:
- Alisher Navoi-Furkat intersection;
- Going down from Sebzor bridge to Furqat tunnel;
- Tunnel entrance from Zarqaynar Street;
- Bunyodkor street — exit through the Kamalon bridge and the Embassy of Azerbaijan;
- Qatortol-Cho'ponota intersection;
- Bunyodkor-KHAY and Bunyodkor-Gavhar intersections;
- "Erkin" YPX station and Cho'ponota-Shota Rustavelli intersections.
Also, special restrictions will be introduced for heavy trucks.
All drivers involved in traffic are advised to use detours. The law enforcement agencies, apologizing for the temporary inconvenience, assure that the security and organization of the competition will be ensured at a high level. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
