Customs Officers In Surkhandarya Become Counter-Strike 1.6 Champions

By the initiative of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, the first esports tournament among young employees of specialized government agencies was held in the Surkhandarya region, upl.uz reports. This was announced by the press service of the regional Customs Committee Department.

Representatives from seven different agencies participated in the tournament, demonstrating their skills in the popular tactical game Counter-Strike 1.6. The discipline requires players not only individual skills but also special coherence of actions and high concentration, which may correlate with the requirements for working in law enforcement agencies.

Following intense esports battles, the team from the regional Customs Department confidently took first place. Employees of the Security Department became silver medalists. The team from the regional Emergency Situations Department won a respectable third place.

The winners were awarded diplomas and various memorable gifts. It is noted that holding such a competition not only served to develop sportsmanship but also contributed to strengthening technological literacy, teamwork, and competitiveness among young specialists in government structures.
