64-year-old stabs officer to death in Xojaobod

On July 1 around 9:00 PM, a tragic incident occurred in the “Yuksalish” neighborhood of Xojaobod district in Andijan region, UPL.uz reported.

After a call was received on the short number "102", prevention inspector, Senior Lieutenant A. Abduvaliev, arrived at the scene. It was found that 64-year-old Yunusali Tumorovich Kholbozorov, in a drunken state, was threatening family members with a kitchen knife.

The inspector tried to peacefully resolve the conflict, but Kholbozorov stabbed him in the chest. Despite receiving first aid, A. Abduvaliev died on the way to the hospital.

The perpetrator fled the scene. A criminal case has been opened against him under Article 97, Part 2 (“Intentional murder”) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. The offense carries a penalty of up to 25 years in prison or life imprisonment. The suspect is currently wanted. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
