66 Uzbeks killed in Ukraine conflict
As of July 11, 66 citizens of Uzbekistan have been killed while fighting for Russia in the special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine, according to BBC.

Uzbekistan ranks among the top three countries with the highest number of citizens killed in the Russia–Ukraine conflict. The largest number of foreign deaths occurred among citizens of Tajikistan (72), followed by Nepal (70) and Georgia (63). Ukraine is fifth in terms of its citizens killed fighting for Russia.

BBC noted that North Korea likely suffered the most losses, but the country does not publish official statistics. According to South Korean intelligence, around 600 North Koreans have died fighting in the Russian military.

Russia's Investigative Committee stated that as of March 3, 2025, about 3,300 foreign mercenaries are fighting on Ukraine’s side.

In March 2024, the Russian Defense Ministry reported 5,900 foreign fighters had died while serving in Ukraine's military.
