The incident between a traffic police inspector and a driver in the Khorezm region caused a great controversy among the public. A video circulated on social media showed a traffic police officer smashing the windshield of a Cobalt car.
The Khorezm Regional Department of Internal Affairs has issued an official statement regarding the situation. According to reports, on September 9, at the "Cholish" checkpoint, the inspector signaled the driver to stop. However, the driver did not comply with legal requirements and continued his movement towards Urgench. Therefore, another traffic police inspector continued to monitor him in the city and demanded that he stop at the intersection again.
However, the driver again refused to cooperate, locked the car's doors, and tried to continue driving despite the inspector standing in front of the road. In this situation, the inspector hit the windshield with a communication device to stop the vehicle, as a result of which the windshield was broken.
After that, the driver tried to escape from the scene, but was still caught at the next intersection. During the investigation, it was revealed that he was a resident of Beruniy district, born in 2003, and did not have a driver's license. It was also established that this car had previously violated the rules several times and the announced fines had not been paid for more than two months.
An administrative report was drawn up regarding the incident, and the car was placed in the impound lot. Currently, a pre-investigation check is being conducted regarding the driver's actions.
