During January-August of this year, the activities of enterprises, greenhouses, and other facilities that harm the atmosphere in the city of Tashkent were carefully studied. According to the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, a total of 1,452 objects were inventoried during this period.
During the inspections, 174 night raids were carried out. During the inspections, 281 cases of violations were identified. Of these, 179 violations were immediately eliminated. Also, administrative protocols were drawn up against 154 persons, and appropriate punitive measures were applied. In some cases, a petition was filed with the court to temporarily suspend the activities of 20 facilities.
According to the ministry, modern equipment has been installed at a number of facilities that may have a negative impact on the atmosphere. In particular, 11 new boilers, 19 filters, and 12 dust collectors were put into operation.
Also, the first stage of the "Clean Air" month, which is held annually in two stages, was held from April 10 to May 10 of this year. 40,050 vehicles in Tashkent were inspected. As a result, in 586 cases, excessive harmful gas emissions were detected. Necessary measures were taken in each case, and shortcomings were eliminated. This prevented the release of 4.7 thousand tons of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
It was announced that the second stage of the "Clean Air" month is currently underway in the capital. It will last from September 10 to October 10. These measures are aimed at ensuring air quality, reducing factors that pose a threat to human health, and stabilizing the ecological balance.
At the same time, 12 regional working groups have been created in the capital to reduce harmful emissions from industrial enterprises, social facilities, and greenhouses. More than 150 qualified specialists from ministries and relevant agencies were involved in their work.
