In Samarkand, a gambler was killed by his brothers

In the city of Samarkand, a 29-year-old man was brutally beaten to death by his brothers for gambling, Uz24.uz reported. The incident occurred on June 20, 2025.

According to the investigation, the brothers tied the deceased and beat various parts of his body with electrical cables. As a result, he suffered severe injuries and died a few days later from those injuries.

The deceased's wife said: “Even though my husband gambled, he never did anyone any harm. He had a good relationship with his brothers. I still cannot understand why they committed such cruelty.”

The criminal case was considered in the Samarkand city court. According to the court verdict, the elder brother was sentenced to 8 years and 6 months in prison, and the younger brother to 6 years and 6 months.
