Fight in front of nightclub: Akmal Shukurov sentenced to 8 years and 1 month in prison

Akmal Shukurov, a participant in the fight that took place in front of a nightclub in Tashkent, has been prosecuted by the court. This was reported by the press secretary of the Supreme Court, Aziz Obidov.

At the court hearing held in the Mirzo-Ulugbek District Criminal Court, Akmal Shukurov was brought to trial in accordance with

Article 104, part 2, paragraph "e" (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm),

Article 168, part 4, paragraph "a" (fraud),

Clause "g" of Part 3 of Article 277 (hooliganism)

of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The court sentenced him to 8 years and 1 month of imprisonment. He will serve his sentence in a general regime colony.

According to the purpose, the incident occurred on the night of March 16, 2025, at approximately 02:30, in one of the restaurants in the Yakkasaray district. Shukurov quarreled with his acquaintance, 40-year-old Khurshid. 35-year-old Boris Akmal, who tried to resolve the conflict, sustained serious injuries.

Doctors diagnosed Boris with a traumatic brain injury and deep injuries in the facial area, and he was immediately hospitalized. A 5-hour brain operation (trepanation) was performed, and the patient was placed in an artificial coma.

Although the court verdict has been announced, the parties have the right to file an appeal or cassation complaint with the Tashkent City Court in the prescribed manner.
