In the Andijan region, individuals attempting to illegally sell land belonging to a farm were apprehended. This was reported by the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office.
It was reported that an operational event was held in cooperation with employees of the Department's Asaka district department and other law enforcement agencies. During the event, it was established that citizens V.T. and Kh.S. committed an offense.
According to the investigation materials, the suspects arbitrarily seized 0.6 hectares of land belonging to the "Yu.M." farm, located in the territory of the "Yukori Boz" mahalla citizens' assembly. They agreed to sell this land to citizen U.K. for 25 thousand US dollars and promised to process the cadastral documents later.
The individuals were apprehended with material evidence while receiving $22,500 of the agreed-upon sum.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 168 (fraud) and Article 229 (arbitrariness) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and an investigation is currently underway.
