A tragedy occurred in the city of Jizzakh as a result of a high-speed car hitting a minor girl who was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing. After the video of the incident spread widely on social networks, the press service of the regional traffic police reported that the incident occurred on December 7, 2025.
The video footage shows one of the two girls crossing the pedestrian crossing being hit by a car and taken far away. The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries, but despite the medical assistance provided, she reportedly died on December 20, 2025.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred due to the driver's non-compliance with traffic rules. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 266, Part 2 of the Criminal Code. The suspect has been detained in accordance with the procedure established by law, and a preliminary investigation is currently underway.
