According to reports circulating on social networks, personal data belonging to 15 million citizens of Uzbekistan has leaked into the "Dark Web" section of the internet. Claims have emerged that this information was taken from government websites.
It is reported that the distributed files contain citizens' passport numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, workplaces, and even photos. This situation caused concern among the general public.
The Cyber Security Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan has issued a preliminary statement regarding this situation. According to him, an in-depth study of this situation is currently underway, and official information will be published later.
The Center also advised citizens not to share their personal information with unauthorized individuals, to use strong passwords when accessing government systems, and not to access suspicious links.
