On the night of February 11, at 23:55, the Federal Emergency Management Agency received a report via the 112 system about a flash of air-gas mixture in one of the multi-storey buildings located in the "Nodirabegim" residential area in Andijan city, Andijan region. As soon as the report was received, the leadership of the regional Federal Emergency Management Agency and rescue units immediately arrived at the scene of the incident.
According to preliminary information, the flash did not cause a fire. Most importantly, since the flame did not spread, neighboring houses were not damaged, and other houses did not suffer serious damage. This is a very important situation from the point of view of public safety, because in multi-storey buildings such situations can quickly lead to serious consequences.
At the same time, the incident, although minor, was not without consequences: 2 citizens were injured as a result of the explosion. It is reported that the injured were provided with medical assistance.
So far, there is no complete information on the exact cause of the explosion, but in such cases, the rules for using gas equipment, good air circulation, and the condition of the gas system in the house are usually considered as the main factors. The responsible authorities are expected to study the situation and provide additional information.
In short, the fact that the incident was quickly brought under control and did not turn into a fire is a great blessing. But this news reminds us of another thing: gas-related dangers do not like the saying "nothing will happen to me." Strict adherence to safety rules at home means protecting yourself and your neighbors.
