On the evening of February 11, an urgent report was received about a car fire in the Sergeli district of Tashkent city. At 18:47, the Tashkent city Emergency Situations Department was contacted about a car burning in Sergeli-8.
Upon receiving the report, the rescue services did not waste time: fire and rescue equipment arrived at the indicated location at 18:55. The fire was brought under control in a short time, and the fire was completely extinguished at 19:07.
Most importantly, no one was injured as a result of the incident. That is, the fire was extinguished in a short time, before it turned into a major tragedy.
According to preliminary information, a vehicle belonging to the “Mahsustrans” state transport company caught fire and was damaged to some extent at the scene of the incident. So far, no definite conclusion has been made about the cause of the fire, but in such cases, a technical malfunction, a short circuit in the electrical wiring, or problems with the fuel system are usually considered the main possibilities.
In short, it is good that the fire was extinguished quickly: the fire was extinguished in a little over 20 minutes. However, this incident reminds us of another thing - even city transport requires constant technical inspection and monitoring. If timely prevention is not carried out, even a “minor” malfunction can turn into a major fire in one day.
