A group of individuals who were trying to kill an entrepreneur through a hired killer were detained in Andijan. This was reported by the press service of the Andijan regional internal affairs department.
As it turned out, on February 4, 2026, an individual entrepreneur filed a complaint with the Andijan district internal affairs department about an attempted assassination attempt against him. He stated that an organized group of 5 criminals had hired a killer for $1,500 and had agreed to kill him intentionally, and asked for help.
After that, special operational measures were carried out in the Pakhtaabad district in cooperation with the Andijan regional internal affairs department, the State Security Service and the regional prosecutor's office. During the investigation, it was revealed that the leader of the group was a 42-year-old man nicknamed "Ronaldo", who had previously been convicted under 8 articles of the Criminal Code. He was arrested after offering $1,500 to a hired killer, born in 2000 and previously convicted 7 times, to kill a businessman, and gave him 300,000 soums.
The rapid action continued, and other members of the group were detained - the head of the Pakhtaobod district medical association nicknamed "Glavrach", born in 1984, a 42-year-old man nicknamed "Boxer", a citizen born in 1984, and a 23-year-old student.
A criminal case has been opened against the members of the group under Article 25.97, Part 2, Subparagraph “p” of the Criminal Code (intentional attempted murder by a group of persons or a member of an organized group or in the interests of that group).
