The hunting season in Uzbekistan will officially close from March 1. According to the law "On Hunting and Hunting Management," adopted on July 8, 2020, hunting wild animals and birds is prohibited on the territory of the republic annually from March 1 to August 15. This was also mentioned in the official information of the Environmental System.
It is reported that the main purpose of this restriction is to preserve biological resources, protect wild animals and birds during their breeding season, as well as maintain the natural balance in nature. That is, this ban is not just an administrative restriction, but an important environmental measure aimed at restoring nature and preserving fauna.
According to the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change, the committee and its territorial subdivisions are conducting regular raids in cooperation with relevant organizations. Especially during the prohibited season, control over illegal hunting will be strengthened. In official statements, it is once again emphasized that violation of hunting rules, in particular, hunting in the closed season, entails strict liability.
The committee urges citizens to treat nature with care and responsibility during the hunting season.
