An investigation into one of the incidents that attracted public attention in Tashkent is ongoing. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, a preventive measure in the form of detention was applied to a minor who hit a traffic patrol officer in a car.
According to the information, this incident occurred on February 25, 2026, in the Mirabad district of the capital. According to the investigation materials, minor Doniyor Turgunov, while driving a car, hit traffic patrol officer Hosilbek Eshnazarov. Currently, all necessary investigative actions are being carried out within the framework of the criminal case initiated on this fact.
Within the framework of the criminal case, official procedural status has also been established for Doniyor Turgunov. As stated in the report, he was involved in the case as a suspect in the commission of crimes under Part 1 of Article 267, as well as Article 104, Part 3, Clause "d" of the Criminal Code. The court also issued a ruling on this case on February 28, 2026. According to him, a preventive measure in the form of "detention" was chosen against the suspect Turgunov. This means that during the investigation period, he will not be released, and the proceedings will continue under strict legal control.
One of the most noteworthy aspects is that the Prosecutor General's Office is considering this case not in a routine manner, but with special attention. It was reported that oversight of the investigation was established personally by the Prosecutor General. This indicates that law enforcement agencies are taking this situation seriously.

It was also stated that the inevitability of punishment for the person found guilty will be strictly ensured.
