Evacuation from countries where airspace has been opened continues

Work continues on the removal of Uzbek citizens from the countries of the Middle East. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on March 5, the number of people evacuated reached 9,361.

It is noted that from March 1 to March 5 at 10:00, 8,114 citizens of Uzbekistan were returned to the Homeland from Saudi Arabia by regular and additional charter flights. 1,192 citizens were brought from the United Arab Emirates, 23 from Iran, 25 from Bahrain, and 7 from Oman.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, measures for the return of citizens are being implemented systematically and in stages. For now, the evacuation is mainly organized from countries where the airspace is open for civil aviation, and it is said that the process will be continued quickly as soon as the airspace is opened in other countries.

The Ministry urged citizens to remain calm, not panic, and act calmly. Citizens abroad are also asked to strictly observe local rules, and in matters of information, to follow only official information disseminated by state bodies and diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan.
