Families engaged in sericulture receive 4 million soums

A new procedure for supporting the sericulture sector has been developed in Uzbekistan to ensure employment and increase the income of low-income families. In accordance with the government decree, starting from April 1, 2026, state subsidies will be allocated to low-income families wishing to engage in sericulture.
Under this program, a one-time payment of 4 million soums is provided for one member of each family. This financial support will serve to organize sericulture cooperatives in areas where mulberry plantations are established and to encourage the population to work actively in this field. This state initiative is expected to be an important step in creating additional sources of income for rural residents and improving their economic situation.
