The body of Dilafruz Chullieva has been returned to the Homeland: the investigation process is ongoing
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul reported that the body of Dilafruz Cholliyeva has been brought to Uzbekistan. The agency also urged not to spread unconfirmed, unverified messages circulating on social networks about the deceased. Because in such difficult situations, any misinformation can negatively affect not only the investigation process, but also the mental state of their loved ones.
Search initiated after missing person
It was reported that Dilafruz Cholliyeva left her workplace in Balikesir, Turkey, on January 25, 2026, in an unknown direction and went missing. Later, her son sent an official appeal through the Consular and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Following this, the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in Turkey sent a corresponding note to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officially began search operations. The search operation was carried out in cooperation with security units of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was noted that the Embassy in Ankara, the Consulate General in Istanbul, diaspora organizations, lawyers, as well as citizens active on social networks were involved in the search. That is, the search was not one-sided, but large-scale, in different directions.
Body found in the forest and examination
On February 28, 2026, an unidentified body was found in a forest area in Balikesir district. Due to the fact that the body was left in the open environment for a long time, it was impossible to determine its identity by external signs. Therefore, medical comparative studies were conducted, and blood samples were taken from both the found body and the deceased's son.
According to the results of the investigation, it was officially confirmed that the body belonged to Dilafruz Chollieva. After that, the necessary official procedures were carried out, and the body of the deceased was returned to Uzbekistan.
Four suspects arrested
According to the report, 4 people suspected of committing this crime have been detained. Currently, the investigation is ongoing. So, the final conclusion on the case has not yet been announced, all circumstances are being investigated.
In short, one thing is very important in this difficult story: to rely only on official and confirmed information, without giving in to emotions and hype. The results of the investigation will answer all the remaining questions.
