Part of the tunnel wall collapsed in Tashkent

In Tashkent, part of a retaining wall collapsed on the tunnel road near the intersection of Temur Malik and Buyuk Ipak Yuli streets. Emergency services, technical specialists, and representatives of responsible organizations immediately arrived at the scene.
The scene of the incident was quickly cordoned off, and security measures were strengthened. According to the Tashkent city administration, a comprehensive technical investigation into the causes of the incident is currently underway.
Experts consider the excessive soil moisture and increased load on the structure as a preliminary assumption due to heavy rainfall in recent days. At the same time, issues of design solutions, the quality of construction and installation work, the condition of the drainage system, and construction control are being studied in detail.
Based on the results of the inspection, a decision will be made on the restoration of the tunnel wall. It was noted that if shortcomings or violations are identified during the construction process, legal measures will be taken against the responsible persons. The Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that there were no casualties as a result of the incident.
