Land corruption exposed in Jizzakh and Karakalpakstan

As a result of operational measures carried out by the State Security Service and internal affairs bodies, corrupt actions related to the illegal registration of land plots by certain officials operating in the Jizzakh region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan were revealed.
In the Zarbdor district of the Jizzakh region, the chief specialist of the khokimiyat was detained while receiving 20 million soums in exchange for winning an auction of 4 sotkas of land in the state reserve adjacent to the citizen's residence through his acquaintances in the cadastral system and registering it in his name. Material evidence confirming this fact was also found.
Also, in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the chief specialist of the Khojeyli district administration and the chief specialist of the district department of veterinary medicine and livestock development, in collusion with the head of a local farm, was detained while receiving 3 thousand US dollars in exchange for registering 41.6 hectares of land in the name of an entrepreneur without returning it to the state reserve and putting it up for auction.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated on these facts under Article 168 of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are actively underway. These measures are important as steps aimed at preventing corruption among officials and protecting state resources.
