In the Buka district, a tax collector was caught taking a bribe from a farmer

The chief inspector of the Tax Inspectorate of the Buka district of the Tashkent region was detained for illegal activity. He demanded 10 million soums from the head of the farm in exchange for extending the payment deadline for tax arrears.

It turned out that this person promised to defer the debt of the cotton and grain-growing farm to the tax authorities in the amount of 165.6 million soums through his colleague in the regional tax department.

During an operational event conducted jointly by the State Security Service and the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office, an official was detained while receiving the requested funds in his office and obtained material evidence.

In connection with this situation, a criminal case was initiated against the chief inspector under paragraph "v" of part 3 of Article 168 and part 1 of Article 28,211 of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of "imprisonment" was applied to him. Currently, the investigation is actively underway.

Law enforcement agencies urge citizens to contact the short number 1520 of the State Security Service if they encounter such violations. Personal confidentiality is guaranteed.

This event became an important example of further strengthening the legal responsibility of officials and ensuring transparency in the tax system.
