Interpol Search: Former Head of Uzmetkombinat Wanted

Dilshod Ahmedov, who headed JSC 'Uzbekistan Metallurgy Plant' from October 2024 to August 2025, has been placed on an international wanted list by Interpol. He is suspected of misappropriation or embezzlement of state funds.
According to reports, Dilshod Tursunqulovich Ahmedov's name has been officially published in the Interpol database. Born in 1972, he is suspected under Article 167 of the Criminal Code — misappropriation of property or embezzlement through abuse of trust.

So far, Uzbekistan's law enforcement agencies have not provided an official comment regarding the criminal case opened against him or the total amount of damage caused.
During his professional career, Ahmedov held various responsible positions: from 2021 as the First Deputy Chairman of 'Uzmetkombinat', and from January 2024 as the Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade.
Subsequently, in October 2024, he was appointed head of JSC 'Uzbekistan Metallurgy Plant' and was dismissed from the post in August 2025, being replaced by Bahodir Abdullayev.
