Japan deports two Uzbek nationals for illegal residence

Two citizens of Uzbekistan who were residing illegally in Japan have been deported from the country.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan announced this, reiterating the importance of complying with visa regulations.
According to reports, one of the citizens entered on a student visa but failed to leave the country after being expelled from their studies. The second individual entered on a short-term visa and remained in Japan despite the expiration of the designated period.
The Japanese side emphasized that working on short-term visas is strictly prohibited.
Furthermore, student visas are issued solely for educational purposes; if studies are discontinued, the right of residence is also revoked. Experts stated that information suggesting it is possible to stay long-term or work via "tourism" or "student" visas is incorrect.
It was noted that if illegal residents are identified, they are arrested and subsequently deported.
