Amusement park ride collapses in Andijan, people injured

An amusement park ride collapsed in Uzbekistan’s Andijan region on April 26, leaving several people injured due to a mechanical failure. While emergency services officially reported that two individuals were treated for minor injuries, social media accounts suggest the casualty count could be as high as seven. Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident amid rising public concern regarding the safety and maintenance standards of amusement park attractions.
Several citizens were injured as a result of an accident at an amusement park in the Andijan region. This was reported by the regional Department of Emergency Situations.
It is noted that on April 26, a malfunction occurred on a ride located in the Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur Park. The device collapsed as a result of a chain breaking.
According to preliminary data, two citizens sustained minor injuries due to the breakage of the iron construction. They were provided with immediate medical assistance.
At the same time, reports circulating on social media suggest that the number of victims is higher — at least seven people. In the videos, parts of the ride can be seen scattered on the ground after the incident.
Some users are emphasizing that such entertainment devices are not undergoing regular technical inspections and state that serious attention must be paid to safety issues.
Currently, relevant authorities are conducting an investigation into the situation.
